A Splash and 65 Candles

Friday night, Laura convinced me to take the boys with her and Emma to the ACC Men's Final Swimming competition in Chapel Hill. We cant pass up a trip to Chapel Hill, right?  So we went...and I didn't understand anything that was going on.  Thankfully Laura could explain everything...and the kids were only a little bit bored but luckily saved by the Nintendo DS.

Following the meet, we went to Ham's on Franklin Street. It was about 9:00 and we were STRONGLY encouraged to leave by the Hostess! We were tired and hungry and requested to be seated.  They said it would be a $10 cover charge each because they were going to have a DJ at 10:00.  Yeah...that went over like a fart in church. So we called over the manager. We got our damn food, didn't pay the cover and then made fun of them for hassling us about the "loud music around the kids" when they were playing 80's hits by Wham and REO Speedwagon. Geez!

Next up, Boppa's 65th birthday party!  The family all met at Outback to celebrate with food, drinks and lots of laughs.  Happy Birthday Boppa!

Two moms and three kids walk into a bar... :)

Had a GREAT time! A yearly excursion, perhaps?

BTW--I didn't hear any REO. I would have jumped on the table & sung loudly!

Who in the world makes someone pay $10 to listen to Wham!...seriously.

Pay no attention to the fact that I know Wham! has this>>>>> ! at the end of the name. It means nothing. Nothing at all.
