All of a sudden it is 2012...

Our first Christmas together was lovely.  We had Christmas with the Linthicums the Sunday before Christmas--complete with big meal and lots of present exchanges.

The week of Christmas, we baked LOTS of cookies and delivered meals (and cookies!) to our normal Mobile Meals route:

Spencer wanted to ring the bell for the Salvation Army this year, so he recruited IV and Jordan and they rang at Lowe's (a local Grocery store) and nearly filled the kettle during their two hour shift! It was wonderful seeing folks smile when they saw the boys saying Merry Christmas to everyone.

We had dinner out/gift exchanges with several of our friends-- I don't think I cooked a meal that entire week....

On Christmas Eve, we went to church, saw his family, then saw my family. Spencer and I did our traditional Christmas Card read before he went to bed (Thanks for all the Christmas cards!)

Christmas Day was a blur of gifts and food-- we were super spoiled and very thankful. Spencer got LOTS of soccer stuff, a headset for xbox, clothes, Legos, Halo MegaBloks, sorter/bank, docking station/alarm clock, massager for his gaming chair, etc.  Will got clothes, a new case knife for his collection, a rock tumbler and gem kits (we love to go gem mining!) and  lots of goodies. I got a new flash for my camera, diamond hoop earrings, slippers, charm bracelet, new kitchen knives, etc.  Even the pets had their own stockings-- pig ears for the pups and tuna for the kitties!

After we finished our Christmas, we went to my parent's house for the traditional big Country Breakfast---wow! Every year it gets better and better.....

And later that evening, Will picked up Joe, and we did presents and big meals all over again!

Between Christmas and New Years, we had off the entire week together and had both of our boys home--- but we were sick with head colds most of the week and didn't do anything....except rest, watch football, read, etc.  Despite being sick, it was nice to have downtime and stay home!

Right before New Years, Boppa took the boys for Manly Man day--- a full day at the Nascar Speedpark where the boys raced cars, played laser tag, climbed rock walls, etc.  Then they all went for a big dinner at Sticky Fingers Rib joint.

New Years Eve, we had friends and family over for a small party. Of course Miss Galaxy had to get attention from everybody--she is such a loving kitty.  Even Boppa petted her...and Boppa doesn't like cats!

We spent the evening snacking, playing some penny poker and we played quite a few rounds of The Newlywed Game... I am STILL shaking my head at some of those answers! At midnight, we had kisses and welcomed 2012!
